Heat pumps – hard startup
Heat pumps – hard startup
Sometimes I feel like I am the only voice of reason in my family. I come from a group of extremely smart and resourceful folks… But they often do things that I do not agree with. Lately, everyone has been convinced that we need to invest a bunch of money in getting our heating, cooling, and air quality control units professionally repaired by a local air quality control specialist dealership. Don’t get me wrong, I know that we need to improve our indoor air quality and air Temperature control. There’s no doubt that the HVAC system is past its prime. I’m pretty sure the air conditioning unit and forced air furnace were installed more than 20 years ago. Our energy bills definitely could be improved. And that’s exactly why I think we should get rid of the old forced air HVAC equipment in order to install a geothermal heat pump, instead. Unfortunately, my family doesn’t believe that there is enough merit to a geothermal heat pump to justify the expensive startup investment for the geothermal heat pump installation. I admit, it is not very cheap to transition to a heat pump setup for your indoor air quality control. You will have to hire professional HVAC technicians in order to complete the heating and cooling setup. However, after that you will never have to pay another energy bill. You can rely on the inherent energy contained beneath the earth’s core rather than paying for electricity to control your indoor air quality. No matter how many times I lay this out for my family, it seems like my geothermal heat pump powerpoint presentations are not making a difference.
