Everytime that I would come loft from school I constantly wanted to just curl up on my bed and take a nap.

However I knew that I couldn’t do that.

My parents constantly wanted me to complete my homework as soon as I got loft from school. I was allowed to put my things down and grab a snack. But afterwards I had to get my things together for my homework and lay at the kitchen table with the cable off. When I was younger I hated coming loft for this reason. As I got older I realized just how important it is to get my homework done in a timely manner and focus on my grades. When I graduated elementary, middle and school I constantly finished with superb grades, receiving high honors… Receiving superb grades can come naturally for some however for me it took a lot of work. When I would be sitting at the table doing my homework I had to easily concentrate. There would be times where I just couldn’t concentrate. There was this one time during the winter season where I came loft and the apartment was cold. I went to the thermostat and turned it up a few degrees so the furnace would kick on. I knew I would be nice and moderate when my feet would be warm. My parents had a radiant floor heating. Once I knew my feet would be moderate sitting at that table I went to the thermostat to set the temperature to where it was. If my parents found out that I changed the thermostat they would surely scold me.
