Musician lost his job as a boiler service tech

This past weekend, our practice sessions weren’t the best. My bandmate wasn’t in the best of moods, and it showed in our practice sessions over the course of the weekend. However, he is extremely broke and depends on playing music to make ends meet, which puts undue pressure on our playing and detracts from the performance aspect. He really needs to find a regular job and start earning money so that I can just concentrate on playing and not worry about money. Gas furnace repairs and fireplace cleaning are my primary jobs, and my bandmate needs to find the same kind of work so he isn’t constantly pushing us to make money when my associate and I play. I don’t rely on the money my associate and I make playing music, and it is also a lot less stressful. My associate and I play music for fun, not to make money, and that makes it less stressful. He is an excellent musician but a difficult businessman who also has no idea how to find work. He lost the job he had working as a boiler service technician that I had gotten him because his boss, the heating and air conditioning representative, had grown tired of him consistently showing up late or not at all. In addition to not being able to always hold his hand because I have my own daily labor to do, there is only so much I can do to help him find employment. After a few weeks, he began missing work or failing to arrive at the Heating and Air Conditioning company altogether on some days. Prior to that, he was doing fantastic with his heated floor installations. The musician just needs to make music, in my opinion, you can’t take the musician’s music out of him.
