I don’t bother meeting people and making friends

I work for a company that has me traveling a lot. It used to be me living in and out of hotel rooms. I got good at learning what to pack for the trip. Then the trips started extending past a few days. I turned into weeks and eventually months at a time. I complained heavily to my boss that living in a hotel room for over a month isn’t feasible. Not having a kitchen was horrible on my waistline. Eating out for every meal alone got old. I missed having a sofa and a comfy bed at night. I told him that I needed a fully furnished apartment or I was done traveling. I actually got my demands met. Now when I travel I have corporate housing set up for me. Depending on how long my stints are, changes what kind of accommodation I get. I sometimes am in a temporary housing situation when it is only a few days. When my stay is going to be a moht, I am in a fully furnished home on a month to month lease. My place of work pays for the lease. I just need to do food and anything extra. I now prefer when I am longer due to better accommodations. I have found that I utilize the kitchen provided all the time. I never eat a meal out anymore. I choose to make something simple in my tiny kitchen, watch tv and go to bed. I don’t bother meeting people and making friends. It is only a few months max. I don’t mind my own company after all.
