I nearly died the other day I have to tell you. What I did was really foolish due to not paying attention to things. I had my central heating on high because it was freezing earlier in the day and I forgot to turn it down on the control unit before I went to bed. I woke up in the day feeling like I was in a 110F desert, and I was choking and could not breathe truly well. I ran out into the hallway and turned the control unit down on the central A/C as quickly as I could. I cranked the control unit so low to try to cool the home off. It took about 17 minutes before I was able to get the home temperature back to normal. This was absolutely the only time in the freezing cold winter I ever had to turn on the central A/C. Usually it is the central furnace that is running, though I had it on a bit too long. This is something I will never have happen again for sure, as I am thinking that maybe I should get myself a smart control unit. If I got myself a smart control unit this would have never happened, because I could have programmed the smart control unit to shut off or at least turn itself down before I went to bed, and I would have not had to remember anything. This experience has made me decide that I need to get myself a smart control unit for my central heating and A/C unit. And it will make life so much easier for me.
