I thought the HVAC professional who came out to our home was trying to trick us into buying something expensive when he suggested that we get a UV air purification system.

My wife showed interest and he explained all the benefits of the UV light tech.

He explained how all kinds of harmful pathogens would be destroyed and we would be healthier in the long term. It sounded like a bunch of hogwash to me and I told the man that. He laughed and said he really wasn’t trying to give us a bunch of nonsense, these systems were actually proven to not only improve the air quality but keep people safer from catching different illnesses. I asked him if we could have a UV air purification installed for a trial period. If we ended up getting sick, I would want my money back. He said they actually could do something like that. They would give us 90 days to see if we like the new UV air purification equipment and if we were not satisfied, we could have it taken away and they would actually give us our money back. I didn’t think they would really do that for us, but we ended up going for the air purification installation. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed the improved air quality. Of course, I thought the UV light thing was just some nonsense that didn’t really work. Well, I didn’t get sick at all for the first two months, but I did get a minor cold in the third month. Still, the cold didn’t last nearly as long and I was surprised by that. I ended up telling my wife that I wanted to keep the UV air purification because it really works.
