It actually seems like I have been working at this HVAC company forever. Everything I know only comes from experience. It’s not like I’m some genius or something, even though everybody around here calls me one. Most of the time, people come to me for questions. Even the main boss has asked me questions pertaining to the installation of a geothermal heat pump since he didn’t have a lot of experience with that. I ended up working on the project to have one installed at his lake house, and it turned out beautifully. It was my suggestion that we hook it up to the lake since it was an ideal source of stable heating energy. He tells me all the time how happy he is with the geothermal heat pump. Well, more recently the head trainer passed away unfortunately due to health complications. The main boss ended up saying some words and we had a moment of silence for him. He told everybody that he would have to be replaced and he wanted us to nominate someone for the job. I practically had a heart attack when I was the first to be nominated and it seemed that everybody agreed that I would do a fantastic job. I never really wanted to take on a position like that, I just like doing my work without too much pressure. Well, I took the promotion which pays more money, but I told everybody it was all the same, I was just training more people, that was all. I felt like I needed a break from the heavy duty jobs anyway. Some of the commercial HVAC repairs are very difficult.
