Always worrying about my son getting hurt in his line of work
Our son is a police officer at a local precinct.
Sometimes I worry about him to be honest because it’s a dangerous job.
Of course we raised our son well and he respects everybody in the community for the most part. Of course, he is tough with criminals, and anybody who causes innocent people harm. He has been in a gun fight before, but he took care of the situation fairly smoothly with his fellow officers. It’s things like that I worry about though, him getting hurt or killed. I was the one who tried to convince him to do something else like getting into the HVAC industry to become an HVAC professional. At least when you’re working on gas furnaces or cooling systems, you’re not getting shot at! Well, he knew what he wanted to do, so I couldn’t stop him with my words. Also, his mother strongly encouraged him to do what he felt he wanted to do in his heart, and ultimately, that was to protect the community. I wanted to add that HVAC professionals protect the community too by making sure their heating and cooling equipment is working in the most terrible weather situations, but I knew I wouldn’t win him over with that argument. Even installing UV air purification systems helps protect the community by preventing the spread of dangerous pathogens, but that’s another thing that likely wouldn’t sway him. Anyway, even though I worry about our son, I’m proud of him for doing such fine work out there everyday on the job. He’s also getting married soon to a lovely young lady, and that’s something we are looking forward to as well as some grandkids!
