When I moved to a new area, I wasn’t too thrilled by the fact that there were so many HVAC companies around. As a matter of fact, there weren’t many local contractors at all. The area is rural, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but it’s such a huge difference coming from the outskirts of a major city. We lived in a suburban neighborhood and the children used to run around or ride their bikes with their buddies outside. Everybody was sad when we left, but we wanted to live in a more peaceful location. I might have reconsidered the place though if I knew there weren’t many local contractors to help us out with plumbing and HVAC maintenance. Fortunately after checking everybody out, I called up some people and was able to find the services I needed. I guess it didn’t matter that there weren’t so many places to help us out, as long as there was somebody. The places I called up didn’t even have websites or anything, just a phone number to give them a call. Fortunately, the people I dealt with at the HVAC company I called up were friendly and the HVAC guy who came out seemed to know what he was doing. We didn’t have any issues, he provided a tune-up for the HVAC and it was working fine. He even gave us the number for a good chimney sweep who came out the next day to help us when we called to have our fireplace cleaned. It’s actually a nice community and I’m glad we already met a few good people.
