I moved out of my mom and dad’s house about six months ago.

They were complaining about me coming home late and being loud with my friends. I never thought they would make me leave home, but they add their limit. I found a place that was really cheap and my best friend and I decided to move into the trailer together. The place didn’t have any central heat or air conditioning, but it was the perfect party pad for the two of us. It was a real dump, but the rent was only $300 a month. My best friend and I didn’t have to answer to anyone, so we felt like the place was a palace. Two weeks after we moved into the trailer, the only air conditioner in the trailer stopped working. It was 90 degrees outside and it was even warmer in the trailer. I complained for days and days to my mom and dad. I wanted them to feel bad because they made me leave home. I could have been sleeping in my comfortable bed upstairs with central heat and air conditioning, but they kicked me out. My birthday was last weekend and my parents surprised me with an air conditioner for the trailer. Usually they give me money on my birthday, but this year they thought the air conditioner would be a neat birthday present. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t have money for beer and cigarettes, but the air conditioner was a wonderful gift that my best friend and I will use every single day for years and years.
