Brought RV to doctor appointment for AC
Desperate times call for desperate measures, that’s what I always say.
That’s why I don’t feel slightly embarrassed about sitting here in my RV in the middle of a hospital parking lot.
You see, it’s really the best option compared to sitting inside and breathing infected indoor air or sitting outside and being burnt by the Sun. If you don’t understand how I’m coming up with those options, I would be glad to tell you. Several years ago my husband started having terrible back pains. They left him absolutely debilitated and he has been searching for a solution ever since. We felt particularly blessed to finally get a surgery scheduled for an advanced pain relieving procedure after years of strife. We are excited. The only problem is we are in the middle of a global pandemic, so I don’t want to sit in the indoor air of the waiting room. I know the hospital probably has HEPA air filters installed to reduce the chances of airborne contaminants making their patients sick. However, I don’t trust other humans to keep the indoor air quality safe. At the same time, I can’t sit outside without any air conditioning because the summer heat and humidity is absolutely brutal right now. I would sweat to death long before my husband would finish his ice-cold surgery. That’s why, we decided the only option was to drive the RV to the hospital. I could sit outside in our private camper with the air conditioning system running on our backup generator while my husband had his procedure performed. I may look silly out here, but at least I feel safe and ice cold.
