Desperate times call for desperate measures, which is what I regularly say.

This is why I don’t feel even slightly embarrassed about resting here in my RV in the center of a hospital parking lot.

You see, it’s really the greatest option compared to resting inside plus breathing infected indoor air or resting outside plus being hit by the Sun. If you do not understand why these are my only options, I’m going to tell you. A few years ago my husband started having disappointing back pains. They left him debilitated plus he’s been searching for a solution ever since. He felt lucky to finally land a surgery scheduled for a high-tech pain relieving procedure after all these painful years. We were both excited. The only problem is that we’re experiencing a global pandemic, so I don’t want to be breathing in the indoor air in the waiting room. I suppose the hospital has HEPA air filters throughout the building to reduce the possibilities of airborne contaminants making their patients sick, however, I do not trust other humans to keep the indoor air conditions healthy. At the same time, I cannot be outside without any air conditioning because the summer humidity and heat is undoubtedly brutal right now. I’d sweat to death before my partner could finish his ice-frigid surgery. This is why we decided that our best option was to drive the RV to the hospital parking lot. I could kneel outside in the private RV with the air conditioning method running on through the backup generator while my partner had his procedure performed. I may look ridiculous out here, however at least I feel safe plus icy cold.
