Ductwork sealing to keep the bugs out

Ductwork sealing to keep the bugs out

Critters kept getting into our lake house & I could not figure out how.

It am not just talking about just bugs either.

I kept seeing lake house geckos in the house. I even saw a small toad once. After complaining about it to a friend of mine, he commanded that I have someone look at our ductwork; She said that the same thing had happened to her, a few years ago, & it turned out to be from gaps in his ductwork. So I called out an Heating, Ventilation & A/C locale & they came out to take a look. They told me that our ducts needed sealing & cleaning. They explained that there are gaps over an inch wide in locales so it is no wonder that critters are getting into the house. Sealing the ducts would also save cash on our power bills because air was literally just being pushed outside. I signed all of the paperwork & it took them 2 afternoons to seal all of our ductwork. They gave it a unbelievable cleaning too. Since I had our ductwork sealed, I have not seen one critter in the lake house & I am legitimately ecstatic, then my electric bill has gotten much lower too. It does not seem that our Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan has to work so hard to keep our beach house temperatures right. It is kind of concerning to think that I was breathing air with small nasty critters in it too but at least that won’t happen any more & our ducts are nice & wipe now too so I think there are no more pets in them.
