My AC broke, and no one is working.
In the fifteen years I have had my air conditioning unit, I have never had a single problem.
I have my regular maintenance done on the air conditioning.
The AC unit gets cleaned and if there are minor repairs needed, the HVAC technician will do it at that time. My air filters get changed monthly because of my having allergies and asthma. Wouldn’t you know it; just when this pandemic is wreaking havoc with our lives, my air conditioning is on the fritz. I called both of our local HVAC companies, but neither one of them are working at this time. I advertised for an HVAC specialist, and I even described the sounds and what was going on with the AC unit, but they were all sheltering-in-place and no one wanted to come out of their homes. I thought they considered HVAC companies to be necessary businesses. I understand that I live in an area where the virus is running rampant, but I plan on wearing a mask if the HVAC technician will come to my house. I have no problem with seeing people with masks in public. I do have a problem with not seeing them wearing their masks in public. I feel they are unnecessarily risking the lives of others, for the sake of comfort and vanity. I am more concerned with having my air conditioning unit repaired. Summer has arrived early in my neck of the woods. Families have their pools opened. I don’t have a pool to cool me off, so I rely on my air conditioning. Maybe I should pull the ‘old peoples’ card and look for their sympathy toward the elderly.
