I ended up having to call the mother and ask her how to work their temperature control

I recently started babysitting for a new family that lives in my town, and i babysit for a couple families in the section so I consistently have people refer myself and others which is great. I care about working with teenagers and I know I even might want to be a teacher 1 day… So, I started babysitting for this family Last monthand they have 1 of the nicests lake house I have ever seen. I don’t know how to work any of the appliance; The mother showed myself and others how to turn on the cable however that was it… While I was making breakfast 1 night, the children asked myself and others if I would turn on the I was a little embarrassed to admit that their temperature control was so nice that I didn’t know how to use it. So I just messed with the temperature control until I heard what I thought was the kick on! However, after a few hours I realized that I turned on the heater. I entirely didn’t want to keep messing with the temperature control because I was scared I was going to break it. However, the children were entirely starting to complain about being too hot now. I ended up having to call the mother and ask her how to work their temperature control. Thankfully, she was genuinely understanding and told myself and others over the PC how to turn on the air conditioner. I am entirely ecstatic she did so I paid close attention to her instruction so she wouldn’t have to tell myself and others again.
