Cleaning Out Filters at my New Place
Cleaning Out Filters at my New Place
I have moved around a lot for work, so I end up signing on for a lot of sublets or short term leases.
I spend time in a neighborhood for the duration of a project, but once it’s over, I’m on my way.
Moving in and out of so many places, I entirely notice the difference in air quality from a single place to another. I am the type of lady who is entirely miserable by dry air and dust. My skin can react to the dryness and I often experience significant dust dust sensitivities. It’s become sort of a ritual for myself and others when I beginning a current lease to immediately check the Heating & A/C filters. Nine times out of ten, the filter looks care about it hasn’t been cleaned in years. I make sure I thoroughly remove the caked dust and wash the filters out. It is important to have wash filters to maximize air quality and eliminate any allergens. Once I have cleaned the filters, I set up a humidifier to make sure that the air is not dry. I also care about to put a few home plants in my apartments to improve the air quality. This little ritual typically helps make a place suppose a little bit more care about home, even if it is short lived. On top of that, I can breathe easier and sleep better at night with the improved air quality.
