As a current father, my priority is doing everything I can to keep my baby and my partner happy, safe, and comfortable! Recently, my newborn was starting to experience eczema, and the two of us inquired with the doctor and she advocated that the air in our house may be too dry, but after further inspection, I realized that our house humidifier was out of commission, then since I am a bit of a handyman, I decided to take a try at fixing it myself.

However, I didn’t have any experience laboring particularly with humidifiers, so I had to turn to the internet for answers.

After a little bit of research, I l earned that there was a complication with the solenoid, then i was able to find a quick youtube tutorial that showed myself and others how to upgrade the solenoid; Once that was done, the humidifier was as nice as new. I also l earned a little bit about how the humidifier truly works. The humidistat detects when there is low humidity and activates the solenoid, then water is then poured over the filter and hot air passes over and humidifies the house. About a week or so after I repaired the humidifier, we noticed a big difference, and my baby’s eczema improved significantly, as well; Not only do I suppose great about the improvement in air quality and moisture, I also prefer that I was able to do something to help my family.
