Reading the book Rich Mom, Poor Mom changed our life. I decided that I wanted to get out of the rodent race & be smart financially. I have started investing in stocks & I recently purchased a rental property. It is difficult to get out of the mindset to pay bills first, save currency & have a big number in our bank account. It is difficult & time consuming studying about investing. I am also a first time property owner & it is rough. I hate that I constantly get called for things wrong with the property. It seems appreciate everyday there is plumbing, electric or Heating & A/C repair needed. According to the author I should hire out & use our time & currency elsewhere. I should be looking for other rentals rather than messing with our up-to-date rental. I am not at that stage yet, although I will eventually hire out, and right now I am too handy & live too close to not come. I have found that I am quite talented in the Heating & A/C field. I can clean the inside of the Heating & A/C system, change the air filter & muck out a condensate drain. I want to get our license so that I can carry refrigerant. Basically all I call Heating & A/C companys is to add more liquid. Sometimes a major repair happens although I have that I can do the Heating & A/C repair easily. I am half tempted to buy a up-to-date Heating & A/C system & tell our leaseholders to stop calling myself and others about Heating & A/C concerns. It is amazing how inregular heating & cooling system can really irritate some people.
