My fiance & I do the snowbird thing.

The people I was with and I go down south right before Christmas & stick around until may.

That way we get the best of both worlds. I will admit, I love our little beach home more than our northern home. I appreciate having a small home to care for & clean. It makes everything so simple. I appreciate that I can just walk out our door & hit the water. I appreciate the weather & the relaxation. The beach home is not as fantastic of a home as our northern 1 though. There are lots of concerns with it. I have needed to scrape popcorn ceilings & replace drywall. I also needed to replace electric & plumbing parts. I am eager to get a up-to-date Heating & A/C system… Everytime our fiance & I go down south the unit is totally frozen solid. I learn online it is because the A/C is filled with dust & over works itself. I talked to a Heating & A/C company about it & he told myself and others I should use the A/C until it won’t run anymore, and he says I can get another few years out of it. I hate taking a hair dryer & melting the block of ice. I hate mucking out the condensate drain & getting rid of all the dust. I really want a up-to-date air conditioner unit so I don’t have to worry about it. My fiance is giddy every year we get out of it. It makes our good southern holiday not as fun. I don’t want to mess around with A/C repairs everytime I visit.
