Cold freezing weather has never been a favorite.It may come as a surprise for many since this is where I was born and raised, but the onset of winter always pisses me off each year. The fact that temperatures drop below freezing point and the whole weather causes me to shiver non-stop is not welcoming. Additionally, it also means that work becomes more annoying. We work in a fruit sorting company which means we cannot have furnaces even in the winter season. We often have to put on warm clothes, mostly heated ones and also wear work gloves. This is however never enough to keep us warm. It’s the best job for me now and I cannot help it. I cannot afford the risk of hurting myself by moving jobs just yet. But for some reason this year has been colder than normal. To compensate, the heating system in my apartment has been on frequently over the past few years. In fact, the heating system has been running for most of the day every time I am at home. In fact I believe there is no single hour that it’s not running for a few hours. This means that I have to keep the heating system well maintained for it to work efficiently. I like having the Heating, Ventilation and A/C contractor send out a professional HVAC tech at least twice or thrice a year to repair and maintain both the air conditioner and the furnace. I never have to worry about the heating and cooling system failing me at any time of the day, especially when I need it most.
