I recently started babysitting for a new family that lives in my neighborhood.

I babysit for a couple families in the area so I always have people refer me which is great.

I love working with kids and I think I even might want to be a teacher one day. So, I started babysitting for this family last week and they have one of the nicests house I have ever seen. I don’t know how to work any of the appliance. The mother showed me how to turn on the TV but that was it. While I was making dinner one night, the children asked me if I would turn on the air conditioner. I was a little embarrassed to admit that their thermostat was so nice that I didn’t know how to use it. So I just messed with the thermostat until I heard what I thought was the air conditioner kick on. However, after a few minutes I realized that I turned on the heater. I really didn’t want to keep messing with the thermostat because I was scared I was going to break it. However, the children were really starting to complain about being too hot now. I ended up having to call the mother and ask her how to work their thermostat. Thankfully, she was very understanding and told me over the phone how to turn on the air conditioning. I am really glad she did so I paid close attention to her instructions so she wouldn’t have to tell me again.
