When I went to Heating and Air Conditioning university, it was because I wanted to be an Heating and Air Conditioning professional. I didn’t tell my dad I was planning to work for him after graduation, nor did I even know of who or where I wanted to work. I admired my dad while growing up. He is a selfless person who often got up in the middle of the night and went to help families with their broken Heating and Air Conditioning systems. If it was the boiler that was broken, he didn’t care what time of afternoon or night it was. Most people thought that because he was the owner of the Heating and Air Conditioning company, he would send an Heating and Air Conditioning professional to their house, however not dad. His Heating and Air Conditioning techs worked tough when they were on the clock. He demanded tough work and putting the purchaser first. When it was an emergency, dad would handle the job on his own. I thought he was a enjoyable man, although I wanted to work for someone else when doing my apprenticeship. I wanted to know if all Heating and Air Conditioning company owners were like dad, or if he was an anomaly. I was hoping he was just one of various and not a unicorn… Once my apprenticeship is over, I may decide to work for dad, however until that time, I don’t know which Heating and Air Conditioning company I want to work for. When I decide, dad will be the first one to know, although I don’t care about everyone assuming I will work for him, when I don’t yet know. I’ll eventually need to decide where I want to work, although I still have time.
