Patching a coolant leak

Patching a coolant leak

It’s been a busy week at my place of work. On top of all the headaches that I’ve been dealing with, I’ve now come to discover that the commercial air conditioning system in my building is faulty. There seems to be a problem with its cooling capabilities. I’m nowhere near an HVAC technician, so I couldn’t even begin to imagine what the problem was. All I knew is that my employees were starting to sweat in this summer heat. We pulled all the blinds on all the windows and broke out the fans, but we needed a solution fast. I called out an HVAC technician who was able to come out the following day after the air conditioner lost its cooling ability. I came to find out from him that the refrigerant levels in the HVAC system were very low. He told me that more than likely, there was a leak somewhere that I needed to find and patch. It sounded like a simple solution. Sure enough, after quite some time, he was able to locate the leak and repair it. Then, he recharged the refrigerant levels. Everyone was relieved when cool air once more started pouring through the air vents! What seemed to be a serious problem that was heaped onto my plate of problems that was already overflowing turned out to be an easy fix, and I was very grateful for that. I hope that there are no more leaks that will develop in the future. I’ll keep working with this heating and air conditioning company if they keep giving me great service like this!
