If it is too hot, we could easily suffer a heat stroke and with temperatures in the triple digits, that is very possible

My friend just moved to the desert, and she wants to visit her. A few years ago, I visited that area of the country, and I was overwhelmed by the heat. I took my mom to celebrate her 60th birthday and because her birthday is in July, we were in the middle of the desert in the hottest months of the Summer. We live in the southern part of the country, which means we are used to hot temperatures, but the dry heat is something to get used to. I honestly don’t know how anybody could be used to that level of heat. It is so hot in the state that it is required by law for all landlords to provide air conditioning. It is a law in the state that air conditioning is considered an essential right, which means it is a necessity for a home to be considered habitable. If a tenant doesn’t have air conditioning or if the landlord doesn’t fix a broken A/C within 48 hours, legal action could be pursued against the landlord. I understand why this is a law in this state because our bodies are vulnerable, especially for those who are older or immune compromised. If it is too hot, we could easily suffer a heat stroke and with temperatures in the triple digits, that is very possible. Anyway, I will be visiting my friend, but I will book my ticket before the weather gets too hot. I want to spend time outside without worrying about running inside an air conditioned building to get relief from the heat.
