Leave the cooling alone

Leave the cooling alone

As I have settled into my retirement, I have l earned to be a lot more chill about things.

I used to be a type A personality, a real control freak that needed to be in the loop on everything that happened! Now I am actually content to rest back and let the experts handle what they trained for, and to not let things become my problem.

In the past I felt like I was always putting out fires, now I realize I should have l earned a long time ago to let the fire fighters of the world handle those things. Take my lake house HVAC plan as a recent example of this. In the past I would have had several unusual inspections done, and made sure to follow each of the HVAC techs around to see what they were doing. Now I am outdated enough to realize that I am not an HVAC professional, and not qualified to supervise them, so I should just leave them to it, and did I ever believe that my A/C would get fixed faster because I was hovering over the workers? I guess I did, however now I am content to say hello the A/C tech and then leave the home and let them get the work done in peace. This approach works for heating and cooling repairs, however it also works for just about every other aspect in life. If someone is a pro, then let them do what they trained for, and if you don’t believe how to fix cooling systems then you best stay out of the way!
