My apartment came with an ugly wood stove in the middle of the residing room! The previous owner made it functional too, but it was vented through the wood ceiling plus there was a stack on the roof.

The woodstove sat on a brick pad that was sited on the flooring.

They split the carpet around it. The whole removal was messy plus fancy. I had to hire a HVAC dealership to unaffix the woodstove, vent plus take it away. I then had to hire a roofing company to unaffix the stack plus patch the mangle. The last thing was the wood ceiling hole plus the brick pad. I looked at it plus tried it myself. I unaffixd the brick with a sledgehammer plus then had to rip up the whole residing room carpet! After that, I realized I needed help. I wanted a property repair company to do the rest. Thankfully I found a handyman repair that does basically everything. I got a quote on a flooring remodel plus the patch for the wood ceiling. It ended up costing myself and others 5 grand plus I believe good about that price. I now have a gray stone floor instead of ugly brown rug. I also have a wood ceiling that you can’t tell where the patch job is. It was a lot of work, time plus money just to unaffix that ugly heater. The previous owner didn’t even use it either. It was as scrub as a whistle inside of it, and why bother venting it to the ceiling if you do not want to use it?
