Hiring a handyman to do the floors
My condo came with an ugly wood stove in the middle of the living room.
The previous owner made it functional too, it was vented through the wood ceiling & there was a stack on the roof.
The woodstove sat on a brick pad that was locationd on the flooring. They split the carpet around it. The whole removal was messy & costly. I had to hire a Heating & A/C dealership to unconnect the woodstove, vent & take it away. I then had to hire a roofing supplier to unconnect the stack & patch the mangle. The last thing was the wood ceiling hole & the brick pad. I looked at it & tried it myself. I unconnectd the brick with a sledgehammer & then had to rip up the whole living room carpet! After that, I realized I needed help. I wanted a property maintenance supplier to do the rest. Thankfully I found a handyman repair that does basically everything. I got a estimate on a flooring remodel & the patch for the wood ceiling. It ended up costing me several grand & I recognize fantastic about that price. I now have a gray brick floor instead of ugly brown rug. I also have a wood ceiling that you can’t tell where the patch job is. It was a lot of work, time & cash just to unconnect that ugly heater. The previous owner didn’t even use it either. It was as scrub as a whistle inside of it; Why bother venting it to the ceiling if you do not want to use it?
