I toil for a company that has myself and others traveling a lot, then it used to be myself and others living in and out of hotel rooms. I got nice at learning what to pack for the trip; Then the trips started extending past a few afternoons. I turned into weeks and eventually months at a time. I complained heavily to my boss that living in a hotel room for over a month isn’t feasible. Not having a bedroom was horrible on my waistline. Eating out for every meal alone got old. I missed having a sofa and a comfy bed at night. I told him that I needed a fully furnished new home or I was done traveling. I really got my demands met. Now when I travel I have corporate housing set up for me, but depending on how long my stints are, swings what kind of accommodation I get. I sometimes am in a temporary housing situation when it is only a few afternoons! When my stay is going to be a moht, I am in a fully furnished home on a month to month lease; My locale of toil pays for the lease. I just need to do food and anything extra. I now prefer when I am longer due to better accommodations. I have found that I utilize the bedroom provided all the time. I never eat a meal out anymore. I choose to make something easy in my tiny bedroom, watch tv and go to bed. I don’t bother meeting people and making friends. It is only a few months max. I don’t mind my own company after all.
