Don’t trust the occupants to change their filters
Don’t trust the occupants to change their filters
I have an beach house building with three units.
My occupants are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
The call me for the dumbest things. I have been called for a plumbing emergency plus then found it was just a clogged toilet. I have been told there is a bee infestation when there is a small nest under the porch. My occupants are helpless. I wanted to have each of the occupants deal with their own air filter on the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system. I have separate Heating, Ventilation and A/C units for the apartments. Every Heating, Ventilation and A/C device has an air filter that needs to be changed once a month. The air filter is the piece that handles any dust from getting in the system. Not only is the air quality improved, however the Heating, Ventilation and A/C can run longer plus better when less dusty. If left filled with dust, the Heating, Ventilation and A/C could overheat plus have a reduced lifespan. It is easily substantial to put a wipe Heating, Ventilation and A/C filter in biweekly. However, I don’t trust our occupants to remember or to do it respectfully, so I have to do it biweekly. The particularly bad section of the job is that there is not 1 genre of air filter at the hardware store. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C units each have a odd brand plus size of filter as well! So I need to take each aged air filter with me to the store to ensure I get the correct 1. I wish there were inserts to put in Heating, Ventilation and A/C systems. If the a/c filters could all be the same size, I would buy them in bulk plus leave them at the rental property.
