Sometimes winter is a slow time of the year for my HVAC contracting company. Many of the commercial and residential customers don’t like to have work completed during the winter months. It seems like everyone and everything wants to hibernate when it is cold outside. I’m really happy to have some steady work this year during the slowest time of the year. One of the hotels by the interstate is making updates one floor at a time. They are updating each one of the rooms with new fixtures, carpet, and flooring. The hotel is also getting rid of all of the old wall HVAC units. They are replacing those units with ductless heating and air conditioning systems. I won the contract for the hotel. Each week we will work on a couple of rooms at a time. During the months of December and January, I will work on updating each and every one of the old HVAC units in the hotel. I’m finishing up with a couple of commercial installation jobs that I already had scheduled and then I plan to start with the hotel. I should be finished up right around the time that I am scheduled to start the work. I have a crew of expert HVAC installation and repair technicians that I work with from time to time. I hired several of these men and women to work with me during January and December making all of the updates to the hotel. The money that I make from this job will easily help my family and my business get through the cold and frigid winter.
