About lunch time, Max walked in the house, and I asked him how his day was going. Max wrote that he had gone to a customer’s apartment to repair their gas furnace. When Max didn’t say anything, she assumed he was deaf and raised her voice so he could hear. Max wrote down that he had lost his voice and started telling her about the gas furnace in a froggy voice. She provided him paper and a pencil and asked him to write it down. She then asked if Max enjoyed the game last night. When he got back to the Heating and Air Conditioning business, his boss told Max he had an interesting cellphone call from a customer. He also said for Max to not yell as much when he watches the next football game. Max told me he was so embarrassed, he could not see straight. All Max wanted to do was get out of the Heating and Air Conditioning office and get home.
