Living in the very most northern reaches of our country, winter is continually part of picture.

That’s because you are in the middle of it or you are preparing for the winter to get here.

It’s just simply that big a part of our lives here in the north. A person just has to take winter preparation seriously if they are going to get through that long, cold period without trouble. First on that list, is being sure that whatever HVAC heating method used has been properly inspected and serviced for the long winter ahead. I try to make certain that our HVAC system is professionally maintained by a certified HVAC company twice a year. I like for them to come out in the late spring and again in the autumn. Having a catastrophic failure of the heating system can be not only horribly uncomfortable but outright dangerous. Knowing that our furnace is in good shape lets me enjoy what winter has to offer. Most people who aren’t from here just hate the cold temperatures. I guess because it’s all I know, that I just love the winter. The snow is so beautiful and I even like getting outside to shovel and clear our sidewalks and driveway. I want the last thing on my mind to be whether or not the furnace will give out. Our furnace was state of the art when we bought it 8 years ago. It was a replacement for a furnace that had lasted for over 25 years. Even though our HVAC furnace is new, I will continue to do all the maintenance so I get the value from it that I did the last one.
