There was a problem with the gas lines to the furnace
I usually don’t run out of propane before the end of the year.
I try to get enough fuel for the winter and then a little bit extra.
I also have the furnace and heating company out to check the fuel levels in January. They give me a report so I can see where I am at for the season. I was very surprised when I came home to a cold house. The first thing that I thought was that I ran out of propane. This sort of problem has happened in the past and the issue is the same. The fan blows but there is no hot air coming out of the system. I contacted the heating company and I told them that I needed a fuel delivery. I honestly never thought that there was a chance that the problem could be something else. The fuel truck arrived around 6:30 at night. It was dark outside but they deliver gas until 9:00 p.m. The guy knocked on my door and I thought he was going to hand me an invoice. He gave me the levels from the tanks and told me that I did not need fuel. He believed there could be a problem with the gas lines that lead to the house. He advised me to contact the repair service to check this issue, because it definitely was not a problem with the fuel. I was completely shocked and very worried, because I never had any problems with the furnace. I didn’t have any idea how much those repairs were going to cost.
