I was late for an appointment, but I had to stay home
I was supposed to meet with the therapist at 10:00 a.m.
last Monday.
I had to call and reschedule the appointment because I was having car trouble. I knew that I could not reschedule the appointment again without getting into significant trouble. Part of my probation is going to the court appointed therapist every week. I missed the previous week and the therapist gave me a warning and told me that I could not make it a habit. I woke up late on Monday and I knew that I had to run really fast to get to the subway so I could make it to the appointment on time. When I got my running shoes out of the closet in the bedroom, I noticed water all over the carpet and the floor. The water was coming from the AC unit. I turned off the AC unit and I called the apartment building manager. The lady told me that I had to stay there and wait for the AC repair technician to arrive. I told the woman that I was late for an appointment and I could not stay home. Unfortunately for me, someone had to be in the apartment in order for the AC repair service to fix the system and get rid of the water and the hall and the closet. I had to call my therapist again and this time she wanted me to send proof of the problems with the AC unit. After missing 2 weeks in a row, I guess I can’t blame her for being distrusting.
