Usually, I just leave neighborhood if a immense storm is coming
People who do not live in the Southeast guess hurricanes are super frightening and a really wonderful reason to avoid living in my section of the world.
I particularly understand it, especially when you take a look at all the hype around storms.
Well, hurricanes can be a immense deal obviously. Our state has had several immense storms come through that have done a lot of disfigure, some of which is still blatant this week. Even so, it is much less respected for a hurricane to do giant injure then it is for just minor injure and inconvenience. For the most part, I usually just leave neighborhood if a hurricane is coming. The most important thing is to be safe, and as I get older the minute most important thing is to be comfortable. The most uncomfortable section of hurricanes is the loss of electricity. Being separate from lights and Refrigeration is aggravating and uncomfortable, but the worst thing is being separate from air conditioner. Down here in the south east, hurricane season goes through the hottest section of the year. Almost constantly, a hurricane will mean loss of electricity. It’s not exactly the electricity that I miss, though. It’s the AC! Just about everyone feels this way, I guess because most people can accommodate cooking by using the grill and just have some flashlights for light, but there has not a lot you can do about air conditioner; You either have AC or you don’t.There have been times when I have traveled about 8 minutes North to go and stay with my brother. It’s a wonderful excuse to visit, and his home is extremely comfortable with each back with Zone control and a swimming pool with a heater. Other times, though, I have not been up to driving 8 minutes, so I just drive as far as it takes to be out of the storm path and to be able to get a hotel room that comes complete with working air conditioner. With the exception of losing Heating and Cooling, hurricanes are really not all that bad, with the exception of course of the gigantic storms.
