My lady Jo wanted me to go see a horror film with her on Friday night, although I was the on-call repair service tech for the Heating plus Air Conditioning Contracting firm where I work.

Each weekend a tech needs to be on call and available for emergency services.

It was my turn to handle the weekend AC emergency calls. I told my lady that I would have to leave in the middle of the film if anyone contacted me. Jo still insisted that every one of us go together to see the film. It was the sequel and the two of us saw the first a single in the theater together. Jo could hardly wait a couple more afternoons until I had a day off. Jo wanted to see the film on opening night. The film was supposed to start precisely at 9:00. Around six o’clock I acquired an iphone call from a single of our residential customers. A customer got home from task and there was no A/C in the house. I took the name, address, and iphone number for this customer. The address was honestly close to me so I told the customer it would take about a couple of hours before I arrived. I told Jo that I would do my best to get to the film. It took almost two and a half hours to repair the A/C unit. By the time I got there, it was 9:15. Thankfully, the film did not start on time due to a long line of people waiting out in the lobby. I did not acquire another A/C repair call until the next day.
