I started using a more service provider for all of my heating and A/C parts and equipment. The more current service provider had good reviews and their prices are 10% lower than the competitor I was using. I was immediately tantalized by the new business, and after studying the reviews, I was sold on switching to the new services, but everything went good the first couple of times that I made an order. All of the parts I ordered had arrived, with no items missing from the order. Shipping was very straight-forward, pain-free, and free. Then I had a week with multiple items missing from the order. There weren’t any air filters shipped with the order. I had 6 boxes of air filters in several different sizes. There was also a gas oil furnace missing from the shipment and the gas oil furnace was tied up to be installed on the day that it was tied up to arrive. When the new oil furnace did not arrive as planned, that was the first item that I noticed missing from the order. While I was talking on the iphone with the distribution business, a single of my service techs realized that the air filters were missing. I had a lot of words to say to the person on the phone. I felt pretty bad after I hung up the iphone. I knew it wasn’t that woman’s fault, although I still felt totally frustrated and infuriated. I hated to contact the customer to tell her that I had not received the gas oil furnace and I could tell that she was disappointed by the sound of her voice. Even though every one of us had the oil furnace the next day, every one of us still had not delivered on our promise to the customer and neither did the distribution business.
