There was also a vital change to the HVAC equipment involved in all of this

It’s definitely a whole lot different in our house since the pandemic. I think we all have experienced so much pandemic fatigue that we are all just tired of the subject. But I have to acknowledge that being stuck inside the air conditioning of my home for all that time really did have an impact on me. For one, I realized just how lucky we are to be able to enjoy doing stuff like going out for a meal in great quality heating and air of a favorite restaurant. And I don’t take the zone controlled HVAC for granted at work anymore either. The pandemic was indeed a wake up call for me in a myriad of ways. When we got sent home from that zone controlled HVAC, I quickly understood that this thing was going to be intense and long lasting. It also scared me to death. I’m in my early fifties and when all this started, I was in pretty bad health. There are some chronic health conditions that I treat with meds. But it was the overall state of my health that I was most concerned about when dealing with Covid. So my wife and I decided to use the time that we were stuck inside the air conditioning to change our lifestyle. We started small by doing things like getting out of the air conditioning to enjoy a walk twice a day. Then we completely overhauled our diet as well. There was also a vital change to the HVAC equipment involved in all of this. We traded the cheap air filters for HEPA filters so our indoor air quality would improve and thus improve our respiratory and immune health.
