While going through some boxes in my parents’ basement, I came across a box that had some very old pictures of my grandparents in them.

I had never seen these pictures before, and I am not sure if my dad even remembers that he has them.

They have been locked in the basement for quite some time now. Well, after flipping through a few of the pictures, I got a great idea to create some kind of collage with them. However, I wasn’t sure how to do it. I was thinking of putting the pictures together and possibly laminating them into one big collage, and then framing afterwards. But the more I thought about that idea, the less sense it made. I had so many pictures that I was thinking there was a better way to do this. So, I got on the phone and contacted a local printing company that also provides laminating services. I explained what I needed, and the service representative was able to help me to decide on the best way to preserve the pictures. In the end, the company laminated some of the pictures and were able to scan all of them into one file for me. In addition, they created this beautiful giant collage on a canvas, and I was able to give it to my dad as a surprise. He was so excited to see all the pictures of his parents together in one place. Currently, he has it hung on the wall in the family room, and I have a scanned copy of all the pictures that we can view at any time.
