When my wife and I were talking about having the floors upgraded to a fancier type of tiling, I told her that maybe we should upgrade the heating system too.

She laughed and asked me what the floors had to do with the heating system.

Then I explained that I was thinking about investing in radiant heated floors. She was surprised and remarked that some of her close friends had the radiant heated floor upgrades and it was such a cozy type of heating system. We both seemed to be in agreement that it would be a marvelous investment. After ripping up our floors, we had the HVAC experts check everything out and offer us an estimate. The price seemed reasonable to me and since we were doing this project, we decided to update all the floors around the house as well. When the HVAC experts were done doing their thing, we took care of the newer flooring installations and that went on without a hitch. The HVAC experts even complimented us on the type of flooring we went for as it would be suitable for radiant heating. When we were finished with our project, we were delighted with the radiant heated floors and how well they worked. It’s like they say, the heating rises slowly which provides perfectly even heated surfaces throughout the household. The next main project we’re going to have to get into is what kind of cooling system we want to upgrade to. We have been using the central cooling system with the ductwork, and we think it might be time to go for a ductless option.
