Building my Dream Home

Building my Dream Home

My hubby and I are building our dream home.

The two of us raised various beautiful children and worked for 50 years to be able to retire to the home of our dreams. The two of us have poured our life savings into the plans for this house and intend to pass it onto our children some morning. One thing that we hadn’t thought too much about until we met with the builders was the type of heating and cooling. My hubby and I never splurged on this type of thing. The two of us typically had a oil furnace and regular central air. However, we decided to hear about some newer heating and cooling options, since we want the place to sit the test of time. The companys advocated we look into a geothermal system. I had never heard of geothermal energy, but it turned out to be a great option. Geothermal heating and cooling uses the temperature of the earth to keep the house at a consistent temperature. It is by far the most energy efficient way to give heating and cooling. Given that we intend for this house to be a section of a family legacy, we have to make sure that we are keeping the earth around long enough for us to do so. It was an simple decision to go for the choice that is best for our planet, which is after all our tploy dream home.
