My A/C Unit Froze
My A/C Unit Froze
If I could go back in time, I would go back to Last weekand leave our A/C method alone.
When I was convinced that the temperature was going to remain cool every afternoon, I turned off our A/C unit as well as turned on our furnace.
I had been meaning to call the Heating as well as A/C company to come tune our Heating as well as A/C method before making the switch, although I forgot as well as I was running the heat with the hopes that nothing would go wrong. Thankfully, nothing did go wrong with our furnace, so I decided to bypass the Heating as well as A/C tune up as well as wait until the Springtime! Just when I thought that the weather was going to remain cold, both of us experienced a few mornings where the temperature spiked above 80 degrees. It was boiling as well as the inside of our cabin was boiling despite opening the doors as well as windows. Instead of sticking it out, I turned on our A/C unit as well as tried to cool our home. This is where things went wrong because only a few hours into running our A/C unit again as well as I observed a immense amount of water around our condenser unit. When I took a closer look, I observed that our coils were frozen, but the heat from the sun was causing them to melt. I called the Heating as well as A/C company instantly because I didn’t know the proper way to handle the frozen coils. The Heating as well as A/C professional told myself and others that I’d set the control unit too low, causing the coils to freeze right away. I wish I would have left our A/C unit alone!
