For a long time though, it seemed that dream was out of reach because we could never afford it. However, when we both got much better jobs, we began to see the potential for our dreams to come to life. Both my wife and I always wanted a small and simple house, nothing big or fancy, and that is exactly what we were going to have built. When it comes to discussing what is going to be built in the home, my wife and I share most of the same tastes, so more often than not we are able to come to an agreement. However, there was one thing that we kept going back and forth on, and that was the HVAC system that was going to be installed. I wanted central heating, but my wife wanted a heat pump. We both couldn’t decide on which one was better, but my wife was insistent that a heat pump was better. I knew a heat pump could cool, but I was sure how well it would. Since I wasn’t sure, we went and asked a professional HVAC technician and he told us for the size of our home, a heat pump would be better. My wife was quite happy hearing this, and so now that I had the professional’s advice, a heat pump it is.
