My fiance and I are going to elope to a different state this winter.

• Since it is the wintertime, I am planning all sorts of different things.

I am used to summer vacations where I hunt for beaches, rum tours, hotels with great AC and pools. Since it will be cold, I have all different needs. I want to drive around and hike the landscapes. I want a hotel that has a pool. I also found a remote cabin that comes with a gas fireplace. I have really been looking into the specifications of all the heating systems. The reason is that I don’t want to go without heat during the cold. I know it could ruin my wedding weekend if I didn’t have proper heat. The state is going to get cold. The nights will get in the 40s. I am not sure how powerful gas fireplaces are. I started doing research and I have emailed with airbnb and hotels asking about the heating equipment. I think it could really be a fun time. I would like to escape with my new husband up in the mountains and be in a cabin overlooking the water. I could read and he could smoke his pipe. If the cabin had a proper heating system, then we would be all set. I did find one rental that is super expensive but it has heated flooring and a full kitchen. You only get married once, hopefully, so I am debating on splurging for that rental. Either way, I think it will be a fun trip.
