I was not raised in a place that experienced the sort of Winter that I experience now. My home region was more of a 4 distinct seasons sort of weather. However, the Winter was hardly ever genuinely cold. All of us would get snow a handful of times throughout the winter. There would be the 1 or multiple super frosty snaps but that was genuinely it. Nothing an Heating and Air Conditioning heat pump couldn’t handle. Those winters simply don’t compare, in any way, to the serious Winter of the north. Winter is on up here. It is a relentless 6 months at least of full on gas furnace heat just to be warm. So, when the calendar starts edging toward March plus May, I start getting gleeful about being able to turn the dang gas furnace off. However, the gas furnace is off about a month or so before I have to kick on the a/c. This year, that transition didn’t go so well. I work at home plus as soon as our office gets a bit uncomfortable, I flip on the air conditioner. This year, it seemed love the a/c just sounded funny. I told myself I was being crazy because it was genuinely pumping cool air through the house. However, a few weeks late I was not super surprised when the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling plan stopped working. The Heating and Air Conditioning guy came out plus replaced a section so it was working again. The bitter pill was when he told me the exhausting section would have been caught had I made our normal Heating and Air Conditioning service appointment. I won’t be skipping those anymore.
