Ductwork cleaning might fix the burnt hair smell

Ductwork cleaning might fix the burnt hair smell

Anytime I run my heating equipment the smell of burnt hair fills the house. No room is safe since I have central heating. The warm air comes out of the air vent and all over the place smells like a dog is on fire. I hate it so bad that I can hardly run my heater. I can’t seem to fix the stinky odor either. I have tried replacing the furnace filter and nothing had changed. I called a HVAC business and got a HVAC worker to clean the inside of my heating plan. Nope, the smell of burnt hair is still strong. The only thing I can think of is that there is hair in my ductwork. The clean heater produces warm air that is blown over the dirty, hairy and grime filled air ducts. That is why every room especially smells rank too. There is dirt and hair all throughout my ductwork. I did some research online and apparently every seven years you need to get ductwork cleaning. I have only been in my home for five and have not called for it. I am guessing the previous owner did not get his HVAC ducts cleaned before my arrival. I am worried that it will not fix the issue. Ductwork cleaning is not exactly cheap. So I don’t want to waste my money on something that won’t work. I also will need to take the day off from work, babysit the HVAC specialist and watch him jam a giant hose up in my ducts to suck the dirt out.
