Portable AC for the man cave
Portable AC for the man cave
If I am going to remodel this room, you know I’m going to go all out with it.
Why do the work and only do halfway with it? This is going to be my personal study, my game room, and my library all rolled into one.
I want everything to be perfect, from the lighting, to the bar cart, to the Blu Ray movie collection being in order. I want to take it a step farther, though, so I don’t have my comfort levels affected by the rest of the house. Instead of being hooked up to the central thermostat I wanted to get a portable air conditioner for my study. Well, on second thought I will actually still be connected to the central HVAC of the house, it just won’t be as important as it used to be. This is a big house, there are a lot of rooms, and if I’m in the middle of a game I don’t need one of the kids downstairs messing with the thermostat. Having a backup air conditioner is perfect, because I can have it at the ready whenever I need it, and never have to use it otherwise. The AC unit is about the size of a suitcase, and I got the black model so it would blend in with the rest of the room. Between the home’s central A/C and my new portable unit my room is going to be the coolest place in the house, and I’ll have to fight to keep all the kids out of it.
