I am going to have to get a new furnace system over the next few months.

I know that the summer is finally coming and the weather is heating up, but honestly, right now is probably the best time to purchase a new furnace if you need one.

First of all, you don’t have to worry about the temperature in your house getting too cold while the HVAC technicians are there replacing your old furnace. If you try to put in a new furnace in the middle of the winter, then you might be in trouble if it happens to take too long! What if they have to leave at the end of the day and the furnace isn’t finished yet? You would have to spend the night in a freezing cold house! If you replace your heating system in the summer, then this won’t matter one bit because you won’t be using the furnace anyway. Another good reason to replace your furnace in the summer is that you might be able to get a really good deal on it. A lot of times, HVAC companies are trying to clear out their previous year’s models to make room for newer furnaces. It’s like a car dealership in that respect. If you buy a furnace in the middle of the summer, chances are that you are going to get a pretty good price because furnaces aren’t really all that much in demand when the temperatures are hot outside! At least our old oil furnace lasted through the winter. Now that it’s heating up, it’s time to get a new one!
