I had the weirdest dream last night.

• Actually, I would call it a nightmare.

I dreamt that I woke up and it was morning. In our dream it was so uncomfortably hot in the house, so hot that I could hardly breathe. I went downstairs and checked our temperature control and it read 300 degrees! Of course I tried to adjust it however my home just got hotter and hotter. It seemed that the more the cooling system blew the warmer it got in the house. Finally, I woke up for real and then I realized that it was all just a dream. My home was entirely cool and comfortable. My temperature control also read a comfy 74 degrees! When I told my mom about the dream, she said that dreams of Hell mean that you are sinning. She said that I need to repent and change my ways. She said such dreams are a glimpse of the afterlife that awaits you. Thanks Mom. It is not like I’m doing a bunch of evil things anyways. Unless you count the fact that I have been neglecting my HVAC system. I haven’t changed my air filter in almost a year and I haven’t had the cooling system equipment worked on either. I keep meaning to but then I remember that I have a dirty air filter. I want to change the air filter before the maintenance specialists come over and see what a disappointing person I am. This results in me not having my cooling system worked on. I keep forgetting about getting a new air filter. I guess the dream was a reflection of the Hell I might face if I don’t get on top of it. I already called up the HVAC company and made an appointment to have my cooling system checked out on Monday. Today, I will get a new air filter on the way home from work.
