I am actually grateful for the a/c dealer that my mom uses! She is getting a bit forgetful in her outdated age.

She forgets things she used to know, and that is why I am the one who takes care of all of her expenses now.

As a side note, my number is on most of her bills in case I need to be contacted for something important. On Friday I got a call from my mom’s a/c company double checking with me to see if I wanted them to go replace the batteries in her thermostat unit. At first I was actually confused until the cooling representative explained that my mom had called them twice over the last two days telling them that her control device didn’t work. The representative walked her through the job of replacing the batteries both times. They just wanted to reach out and see if I would want them to go change the batteries in the control device for my mom since she didn’t seem to understand the issue. I thanked them for the call and I was happy they asked but I told them “no”. I would go change the batteries myself. I don’t need to pay a repair fee for something as easy as that. I am just grateful that the a/c dealer is fair and is also looking out for my mom. They could have come out both days and charged me and I wouldn’t have been able to dispute the charges. I wouldn’t even have known that they were taking advantage of an elderly lady. Instead, they called me up beforehand. I certainly appreciate that. And, yes, I did change the batteries in the control device so my mom’s air conditioner works well now.
